About Sound for Peace
My Inspiration
I started Sound for Peace in the summer of 2025, inspired by the chaos I was seeing in the world and how deeply it was affecting those around me. There are times I wish I could do more—but I’ve come to believe that even the smallest acts can create meaningful change.
My intention was simple: to offer the community a space to pause, breathe, and experience a moment of peace. If it makes a difference in even one person’s life, that’s a success to me. Peace has a ripple effect, and it starts within each of us.
Sound for Peace is held outdoors at the north picnic area of Herrick Lake Forest Preserve—a location that truly feels like it chose me. Surrounded by nature, the experience becomes even more powerful, combining the natural healing energy of the outdoors with the calming effects of sound.
I’m so excited to bring this offering back and continue sharing moments of peace with the community this summer.
